Turn your scraps of yarn into a beautiful afghan!

This is the ultimate stash buster. It’s fun and easy and, yes, it definitely qualifies as upcycling! We all know how those little bits of leftover yarn can pile up and take up space. Yes, sometimes it seems like we need a special walk-in closet just for all that yarn!

But instead of building that closet, we can tacking busting that stash! here’s a great project to kick off those efforts. With it, you can have a gorgeous afghan for yourself or to give as a gift.

This is a free pattern, too! It’s by designer Kara of Petals to Picots. It’s wonderful and it’s simple and it gets the job done. There are detailed steps, a photo tutorial. And if you’re looking for morale support in your stash-busting efforts, you’ll be happy to know that she’s also created a scrapghan crochet along group on Ravelry that’s been ongoing for quite a while.
