Express your creativity and save money with this fantastic DIY project!

Yes it’s a winner in all ways. It’s a great way to upcycle old scraps of cloth — sheets, pillowcases, old curtains and drapes, etc., etc. — and turn them into something that’s as beautiful as it is practical. If you’re been inspired by photos on Instagram and Pinterest and thought to yourself, wouldn’t it be fun to do this, well, now you have that opportunity.

Designer Janine Holmes of Moji-Moji Design created this wonderful free pattern and tutorial for “zipless recycled cloth chair pads.” She shows you step by step how to transform old fabric into chair cushions. It’s a fantastic weekend project. First of all you’ll learn how to turn your old fabric into “clarn” i.e. cloth yarn and from there you’ll go on to make something truly beautiful.
