This stitch gives a wonderful texture to crochet projects!

You may have seen this stitch in projects — it’s also known as the “scale” stitch. It’s great for edgings and decorative borders. You could also use this stitch to make boot cuffs or wrist warmers, too. It also readily lends itself to afghans and blankets, adding a thick and luxurious texture. Just think of what a lovely trim this would make for your sweaters or shawls.

The great news is that this stitch is easy to learn. We found not one, but two excellent tutorials! One is video only and the second of these also includes step-by-step written instructions.
